World Heritage Day

Heritage preservation boosting the economy, sustainability, and cultural understanding in modern times

World Heritage Day, observed every year on April 18, reminds us of the enduring significance of our historical heritage. In today’s modern times, heritage is not restricted to the definitions of conventional concepts. Rapid shifts in time, pace and technology have reintroduced the role of heritage. Recent developments and heritage preservation approaches have actively contributed in boosting the economy, bringing forth their role in promoting environmental responsibility and cultural understanding across the globe.

This day offers an opportunity to raise public awareness and promote the practices that revolve around the restoration and protection of heritage sites. These ancient places, monuments, ecological hotspots, and heritage water bodies are known to foster and spread the indigenous knowledge to future generations. And these timeless treasures are nothing less than a legacy.

Leveraging digital technology, global exchange dialogues, and transformative solutions to develop the regions around these cultural heritage sites has opened new avenues for growth, preservation, and progress among local communities. These elements have increased the tourism

Vrindavan Heritage Tower, located in the Chhatikara region of Vrindavan, is the upcoming world’s tallest cultural heritage monument. Inspired by the vision of Srila Prabhupada- Founder Acharaya of the Global Hare Krishna Movement and International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON), this towering infrastructure is dedicated towards the cultural, social, economic and environmental welfare of Braj.

The organization is committed towards prioritising cultural expression, specifically preserving and promoting the glories of Vrindavan across the world. Vrindvan Heritage Tower has undertaken various socio-economic initiatives to benefit the local community. Feeding programmes like Annadan Initiative, Khichadi Prasad distribution, Widow Mother feeding, Sadhu Seva, etc, ensure that wholesome, nutritious, and fresh meals are prepared and served daily. This is a compassionate service focused on holistic community well-being.

Our Biodiversity Park project represents the 12 sacred historical forests of Vrindavan and is an initiative to advocate environmental awareness while also increasing the green cover. It will also be a home to the native flora and fauna of the Braj. We plan to establish a complete ecosystem with sustainable heritage site management, implementing natural farming practices and renewable energy installations in the campus.

With a lasting commitment, Vrindavan Heritage Tower is working towards heritage preservation, cleanliness and restoration drives across Vrindavan, improving local livelihoods.

We also want to promote a proactive interest in heritage conservation among the younger generation. Vrindavan Heritage Tower also offers a platform to the global thinkers, changemakers, philosophers and cultural enthusiasts to connect and experience the grandeur history of Vrindavan, which revolves around traditions, temples and ghats where once Lord Krishna performed His pastimes.
