Since its inception in 2006, our project has become a source of support to society by contributing to the all-inclusive development and well-being of the Braj region. Over the last two decades, lakhs of people have benefitted from our development programmes.
More than 10 different social initiatives are currently underway and many other similar initiatives are being planned by Vrindavan Heritage Tower.
The missionaries of Vrindavan Heritage Tower have been leading the efforts to provide mid-day meals to lakhs of children since 2003. Currently, we are feeding more than 1 lakh children of 2,032 Government schools and anganwadis through the Akshaya Patra program.
We are nurturing and protecting over 300 indigenous cows, calfs, and bulls within our campus. They are fed three times a day with well-planned nutritious feeds consisting of green fodder, dry fodder, and specially-made animal feed prepared from wheat and other grains mixed with jaggery.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, we have reached out to the vulnerable and distressed sections through our extensive food relief measures. We have recently extended our feeding programs to sadhus, patients, and their attendants in Government hospitals
We have been serving more than 10,000 meals every day to the visiting pilgrims and devotees through our Annadaan Seva. We are also providing blankets to the sadhus in Ayodhya to protect them from the freezing cold.
More than 500 sadhus are currently receiving prasadam in Gyan Gudri and other areas in Vrindavan through our feeding programme. This initiative helps them continue their spiritual pursuits without having to worry about their next meal.
We support the lives of widow mothers of Vrindavan by providing a wholesome, nutritious lunch every day. About 1000 widow mothers are currently being served fresh and hygienic meals.
We have been distributing clothes, blankets, medicines, and other essential items to the needy in the region. Free medical camps are organized periodically to benefit the economically challenged and underprivileged sections.
We provided free meals to more than 20,000 pilgrims every day during Kumbh Mela in 2019. A specially designed 'Kitchen on Wheels' was deployed to prepare fresh food for all the pilgrims.
We have supported victims of various natural calamities and emergencies around the Braj region by providing hot and hygienic meals despite many challenges.
It is a unique educational initiative that aims to maximize academic potential, demonstrate respect for individual differences and serve life-enriching experience to grow as learners. It also encourages active participation in the stewardship of community and culture.
An initiative by Akshaya Patra to provide training and mentorship to more than 200 underprivileged children to help them follow their dreams in fields such as dance, theatre, math, science, and cuisine.
